What is Easter Seals?

Easter Seals Ontario provides programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities across Ontario to help them achieve greater independence, accessibility and integration. Funds raised and donated in Ontario stay in Ontario benefitting local children/youth and their families.

What is Century 21 ®  Send A Kid To Camp Program?

Easter Seals is Century 21 Canada’s charity of choice and has been for over 40 years. C21 Kids to Camp Program , which strives to raise funds to help send kids and youth living with disabilities across the country to Easter Seals’ accessible summer camps.  Since 1979, CENTURY 21 Canada has raised more than $12 million in support of local Easter Seals organizations, and have provided the opportunity for over 5,750 children and youth to enjoy and benefit from transformative and affirming experiences at Easter Seals camps, where they can have fun, push their boundaries in a safe and supportive environment, build and strengthen skills, and cultivate friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

For many of the Easter Seals' children/youth, camp is where they make the only friends they have. They can have fun, push their boundaries in a safe and supportive environment, build and strengthen skills, and cultivate friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. They can be themselves without being judged, stared at or made fun of. Last summer, camp was held virtually and in some areas (where permitted) day camps were available. It's looking like it will be run in this format again in 2021 but the funding requirement remains. The maintenance of programs, equipment and support is ongoing to give independence, experiences and memories to our Easter Seals’ children/youth and their families.

Brave individuals challenged themselves and changed lives by harnessing up and rappelling 17 storeys down the side of the building at 175 Bloor St E in downtown Toronto to raise funds for children and youth with physical disabilities.

Once again, with everyone's support, we surpassed our fundraising goal! Thank you!

This event ran from May 1 - June 14, 2021. We walked, ran, jogged, strolled, cycled, rolled - however we could to reach a total of 221 km over 45 days and raise money toward the C21 Heritage Group TEAM goal of $10,000.

We smashed our goals and exceeded $18,000 in fundraising and 15 out of 22 team members reached the 221 km goal. It was not an easy goal to reach for many of us. However, as a team we averaged over 235 km each and that's what a true team effort is.

Additionally, there were FIVE participants on the team who reached Golden Heart Award status. Congratulations to all!

A big  THANK YOU to all participants, sponsors, and supporters because the ultimate goal was to help the Easter Seals kids/youth and without all of you, we couldn't have done it.

After just six months into 2021, five individuals have already achieved Golden Heart Award status for their participation in the Golden Heart Virtual Challenge.
Congratulations to (left to right): Merilyn McCart, Eryn Richardson, Pamela Prescott, Debbie Bekker-Fawcett, Gizella Nyulas.
